Created during a time of isolation and uncertainty, Noise & Silence is a self-portrait that explores the contrast between what is shown and what is felt. The covered face represents restraint, separation, and the quiet imposed on daily life, while the vibrant, layered forms behind it reveal the intensity of the inner world — thoughts, emotion, creativity, and unrest moving beneath the surface.

Though much of the face is hidden, the eyes remain visible — steady, observant, and human. They anchor the piece in presence, bridging the space between external stillness and internal motion.

This work reflects the shared experience of carrying complexity quietly: the silence of isolation paired with the constant internal noise that emerged when the world slowed down. Noise & Silence is less about a specific moment in history and more about the resilience found in holding both at once.
